Surprisingly Great! – Genuinely pleased with how well it functions! I bought it because my previous controller for PC gaming started to drift badly. Controls are smooth and I have the option of USB-A wired and wireless connection. On top of that, it’s a great size and the colors are pretty!

Nice all-around controller! – I have used a good amount of controllers from 8BitDo and this one is pretty nice to use personally! I find the size and shape of the controller to fit my hands well and it’s always cool to see different color options for gaming peripherals.
Two things to note :
This version of the controller is wired only which might be a deal breaker, but I use this controller mainly for PC so I don’t mind it since I’m sitting at my desk all the time. Hall Effect sticks are much better than normal sticks, but TMR sticks have since taken over which is essentially an improvement towards Hall Effect. It’s not as big of a difference but there are newer versions with TMR at a slightly higher price if you aren’t at a strict budget.
Overall, this version of the 2C is great on a budget, and even more worth it if found during a sale and you want a controller to use on PC for casual and semi-competitive use!

Happy it was more green than in the pictures – Great controller, this is the second 8BitDo i have purchased. One for myself and one for my child and they are wonderful. Pleasantly surprised it was more green in person than in the photos. Was hoping it was since the description said “mint” colored.

Great controller, great price! – Great quality for a great price. The color is great too. I have an 8bitdo ultimate 2 as well and this feels the same with the exception of fewer buttons, no led rings, and no dock. I’d definitely purchase another.

Solid controller for the price – Overall really good, especially for the price. Feels solid and surprisingly has quite a bit of weight to it compared to other cheap controllers I’ve used. I wish the “programmable” extra buttons on the back were fully re-mappable instead of just being able to remap to one of the default buttons.

NES Platformers? Bad. Street Fighter? Amazing – For 3D games, RPGs with menus, this controller just feels solid
For fighting games? Amazing. I’m pulling off Hadoukens like nothing! I’m pretty good at doing them, but I don’t think I ever have done them THIS reliably. This has got to be one of the best-feeling controllers I have ever used for a Street Fighter game. I was never able to pull off Zangief’s 360 attacks this reliably
How it felt in Street Fighter made me wish I could give it a 4.5.
For 2D games, even 8-bit Nintendo Games, it’s bad. The main issue is when you do something like Run in Super Mario Bros and hit down to do the fancy slide. Okay, how does it handle Sonic? Also pretty bad. There’s a lag from when Sonic is standing and he starts spinning

Good for Multitasking – It’s a good controller. It’s really the only “budget” controller I’ve found that can work with both switch and PC, so definitely a bonus if you’re someone who games with both.
Build wise- pretty standard controller.

Best budget controller available with hall effect! – Definitely the best controller I’ve purchased in a long time. Great value, great color choices, and the joysticks are also “hall effect” joysticks, which basically means they use magnets to prevent stick drift. Not even the Switch 1 & 2 Pro Controllers have that! Having hall effect joysticks for a $30 controller is incredible value. Haven’t had any issue with it thus far, so easy 5 stars.

Best Budget Controller – This controller was the first third party controller I have ever owned, and it did not dissapoint. The price is a remarkable deal for what you recieve. The connection is superb, joysticks are hall effect, the d-pad is great for metroidvania games and such, everything about this controller is great to me. Is there better out there? Most likely. I personally picked this controller up to see for myself the quality of 8-Bitdo’s products, and after a week of use, I purchased the Ultimate 2. I highly recommend purchasing from 8-Bitdo, whether you’re on a budget or want a premium controller.

I think it’s great with some personal preferences – It feels comfortable in my hands and it looks nice. I kind of wish the thumbsticks were a tad shorter but I got used to it rather quickly. I also wish the usb receiver was shorter and that you could store it somewhere inside the gamepad. I also kind of wish the left thumbstick and D-Pad swapped positions so the gamepad was more symmetrical. The left thumbstick feels too close to the LB button. But these are all just personal preferences and I really like the gamepad a lot. It feels very well made and I adapted to it quickly. I definitely recommend it even with my personal preferences.

good hardware, good drivers – I have used this heavily in since buying it and have experienced no problems whatsoever. This is good value for a $20 controller, and may be explained by the simplicity of a $20 piece of hardware removing extraneous features that could impede reliability. It is tangibly sturdy and barely reacted when I dropped it while it using it.
