Finally – First new prime game in years. Missed opportunities if u ask me. Also a bit shy of perfection despite the wait. Still good enough for a 5, rounded of course.

While divided with Gamers Overall Still A Fun Game – While online reviews are mixed I found myself enjoying the game pretty well. If there’s a complaint it would be the moronic issue of having to buy an amiibo to unlock the soundtrack in certain areas. I don’t mind getting amiibos but it feels insulting that you need one just to hear a musical score in a game you bought. Still it’s a fun game and for the sale price I got it for I’m happy to have this in my Switch game library.

A perfectly satisfying game for Metroid fans alike – Excellent graphics, gameplay, and worlds to explore.

Another great entry for this franchise – Really enjoyed all the Prime games so far. This is another great one to add to the Metroid franchise. Continue to enjoy the designs and the level designs. A friendly interface, and the new bike options are nice new touch to the Prime games

Great Game – I grew up with games like Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 so when this game was announced I was really hyped and I gotta say after playing it I really enjoyed it sure there’s room for improvement but I think it’s a great Metroid Prime

Mixed Feelings – I’m an old player of the Metroid Prime series, loved these games since I was very young. This one feels like it was built with someone like me in mind, but it just misses the mark. It’s very polished, but at the cost of that gritty atmosphere that made the old games so great. It tries to have an open-feeling world but ends up even more linear than the previous games. The handholding by other characters gets annoying at times. Sometimes the motion controls are a little buggy. Still worth playing but you won’t be blown away, I’m afraid.

awesome Switch game – one of the best Metroid games made by Nintendo, the graphics are cool.

Worth it at a discount – I heard the game was overall very underwhelming considering the wait time for it to release but when it went on sale for $34.99 how could I not snag it up.

Lacking the Feel of Metroid – While I did enjoy the game to an extent, this didn’t feel like a sequel we deserved to the trilogy. I hoped for them to return to the roots. It didn’t. This game likes to hold your hand beyond reason. You are told the same thing repeatedly. A pop up could come telling you where you may need to go, a character will tell you the same, repeatedly, and as you are exploring, a map icon will pop up and show you right where you are to go. No metroid game prior was this annoying.
The fun of metroid is exploration and returning. Hand holding is not great. I didn’t mind the idea of something aiding you to find all the collectibles, but it too was holding my hand to the extreme by showing the exact spot, rather than an area I should look.
The story was a let down. Too many characters were present, they weren’t built well, and the villain, while teased in the past, was uninspiring. I was still questioning why I should care in the end. I also understand that Samus doesn’t talk, yet it is heavily annoying for a character to have a long talk with you and all Samus does is stares, shakes or nods her head, and makes it incredibly odd. That is why having a story without her having constant contact with a character was superior.
I would look for a discount. It also runs better in 120fps mode on the switch 2 with the upgrade pack. Without it, I felt nauseous.

This game is awful – I didn’t know Nintendo could publish an actually bad game. The design doesn’t know if it’s an adventure game or a first person shooter, which is a problem because the controls are for an adventure game but the encounter design is for a first person shooter. There’s a ton of plot and characters, which, for a Metroid game, sucks. All the characters are empty cliches, and that’s not even getting into Miles MacKenzie, the annoying nerd guy who calls you every ten minutes to tell you what to do. Metroid works when it’s a lonely experience of exploring a weird alien space, not when an annoying nerd is yelling in your ear about you missing a missile upgrade. Samus moves like a refrigerator. The bosses are all poorly designed. Buy one of the million indy Metroidvanias or wait for the next side scrolling Metroid.

I like it’s a full game on cartridge – I like how I can get a good modern game for a steal price

Great game if this was 2003 – Doesn’t really innovate compared to the original and pretty much everything but the visuals feel pretty dated. It’s not a bad time but it just wont blow your mind. The last 2 hours of the game is padded garbage and that’s pretty annoying, especially on a ~13h game.
Wait for a sale.

Metroid Prime – Took Nintendo too long to release. Did not appreciate wait
