Great alternative to the official Xbox Controller – The GameSir T7 Pro Wired Controller has been a nice surprise for me to review. Controllers today all come with the standard setup of face buttons, shoulder buttons, and triggers, so it’s refreshing to have a few extra options while gaming.
While it doesn’t feature four paddles underneath the controller, it does include a very comfortable extra button that can easily be pressed with your ring, middle, or pinky finger—whatever feels most natural. I was able to simply plug the controller into my console via USB and start playing. GameSir also offers app support on the Xbox Series X, which was easy to download and set up. From there, I was able to program four different profiles with my preferred button mappings. Switching between profiles is simple: just hold the “M” button located at the bottom of the controller’s face and press A, B, X, or Y depending on how you have your profiles configured.
The thumbsticks feel terrific on this controller. The buttons are responsive and clicky without feeling cheap. The triggers and bumpers also feel great, and the trigger lock feature is a nice addition. While the controller isn’t doing anything revolutionary with its design or functionality, it’s perfect for players who want a few extra button options, solid app support, and an affordable $50 price point. Overall, this controller is a no-brainer.

Good controller when it works. – I wanted to try a wired controller because I wanted to use it on my PC and Xbox. I would assume wire controllers would be more accurate and dependable. This controller comes with a really long USB cable that can be connected to a console or PC or laptop. The dark green casing makes it look really cool. I also like the lights that come on when the controller is on. The instructions to use it are fairly easy just connect via wire to gaming unit turn on and it’s ready to go. This controller can be customized by using an app from the developers website. At first I was having trouble keeping the controller on. It turns off on its own and it’s hard to keep it on. When it works it’s pretty solid. The controller also has a feature where it can go to sleep on its own when no activity is detected for a certain amount of time. This setting can be turned on and off via that app. The app also has a button check where you can verify all buttons are working. The controller itself is very comfortable while using it.

Wired FPS controller with mechanical button issue. – T7 PRO W / Wired Controller for XBOX & PC
If you play FPS games this is a good pick. Between the Hall Effect sticks with Anti-drift and Hall Effect Triggers with adjustable travel. There’s little toggle pins on the back of the controller to adjust. If it weren’t for the fact this controller isn’t wireless, it would be a top pick. For those of you who aren’t familiar with hall effect sticks, they can prolong the lift of your controller significantly compared to the traditional potentiometer old designs, by replacing the inner rods with magnets. Playing FPS with this, was a very pleasurable experience with great control. I really liked the hall-effect triggers, and it’s my first chance getting to experience something like this. Very nice design!
The grip has “anti-slip” etched grips on the plastic. I prefer a rubber coating or something less slippery. The etching does a mediocre job of staying firm in your grip imo.
This controller comes with a 10’ cable and is also compatible with PC (like any Xbox-Microsoft product).
Couple nice perks are the fact that it comes with a free month of Xbox GamePass, and a 2 year limited warranty.
The 2 things that soured me on the controller are the ABXY buttons, and the R4 and L4 buttons on the back under the trigger adjusters. Happened when I played The Show 26. When your up to the plate, you can push X, A, or B to swing. The X button seemed ok, but both the A and B button would stick and stay in the pressed position all crooked until touched again to pop them back out again. It wasn’t every time, but 1 out of every 3 times I’d go to swing, the button would get stuck. My issue with the R4 and L4 was that I found myself accidentally pressing them with my ring fingers and pinky fingers quite a bit. I think it’s just an inherent design flaw with most xbox controllers. It didn’t have any adverse effect while playing The Show, just found it irritating that there was buttons I couldn’t help but feel were being pressed where I’m trying to hold the controller. The Gamesir software allows you to customize the controller so this really isn’t an issue, just an annoyance
I would not recommend this controller due to the buttons sticking plain and simple. May sound trivial to some people, but a new product in 2026 should not have an issue like that. I mean, they took the time to make a controller with hall effect anti-drifting capabilities, customizable options all around, yet they can’t make standard buttons that don’t stick mechanically when pressed? Make it make sense please. Takes me back to the 80s playing with NES controllers and the A&B buttons getting stuck. Difference is, on the NES controller, it usually happened after using the controller for a considerable amount of time, months if not years. This controller is brand-spanking new and buttons sticking the first time used.

Controller for all budgets – I have a few OEM Xbox wireless controllers, and they all have minor issues such as faulty A buttons, or bad stick drift. For my next controller I wanted something that was affordable, wired and more reliable than my other controllers. I heard a few positive things about GameSir’s controllers, so I thought I would give the T7 Pro wired version a shot. I normally game on my Xbox Series X as well as my gaming PC, so this version for Xbox and PC was the version I set out to test.
How does it look and feel
The first thing I noticed when unboxing the T7 Pro is the weight and the compact feel of the controller. The controller housing is semi-translucent with internal lighting capabilities. The buttons feel responsive and firm to the touch. The trigger buttons are slightly textured with the ability to set trigger stops. The controller also comes with a 10-foot braided heavy-duty USB-C cable that enables you to game at long distances. The controller also comes equipped with back buttons that are slighted raised but not enough to press while gaming. I had issues with my other controllers with accidental button presses. Since these are buttons and not paddles, I’m less likely to press them. The 3.5mm input jack is a nice touch, but I mostly use wireless gaming headsets.
Nexus app and overall thoughts
The GameSir Nexus app can be easily downloaded from the Windows store. It gives you access to a few different options for the controller settings. Since the controller has lighting effects that gives the ability to adjust the brightness. Animations aren’t available yet, but I would like to see them added in the future. The ability to adjust the vibration levels and having the ability to adjust the dead-zones are premium-like features. For the price point, you get a lot of features for a well-made controller plus the ability to add up to 4 different profiles. What more could I ask for in a controller?

Love the controller. Fun to use. Retro design – Great controller. The joy sticks are very accurate and comfortable to use. I absolutely love the retro design. The green as it fades from a solid dark to retro see through plastic allowing you to see all the internal electronics is a fun nostalgic throwback. I love the under glowing LED lights as well. It reminds me of the mod kits from the early 2000’s you could pick up on some internet sites. The lights also activate when the button is pressed and light up brighter with a slow dimming effect. Very cool design overall. I enjoy it. The wired part is also nice as I play a lot of games on PC and I find it simple to plug the controller into a USB port and instantly have all compatibility. Works as well with the latest XBOX counsels. The triggers on the controller are nice as well. They come with switches that allow you to change if it is a shallow press or long travel. This helps if you enjoy a racing game vs shooter where you may want the gun to go off quicker vs having the ability to very the amount of gas you are giving a car in a racing game. Overall. Great controller.

Great wired XBOX controller with Hall effect – Out the box I was impressed with not only the looks but the style of this controller. It comes with an extra long USB cable which came in handy since the USB 3.0 extension cable I had would not work with this particular controller on my Xbox Series X. Out the box it worked great, although I play a lot of FPS so I prefer the taller right and left thumbsticks so all I did was add a couple of kontrol freak extensions and I was off and running on call of duty.
It has the programmable back buttons and the ability to have four different profiles that you can change on the fly. So I’m able to have a profile for each of my FPS games as well as any of the other games I have such as Forza where I want certain controls mapped to the rear buttons.
One thing that’s nice is it also has the ability to shorten the right and left trigger buttons so that when playing FPS games you can get the immediate reaction for either the ADS or firing of your weapon. Also you can easily turn it off so when playing racing games like Forza you can adjust the amount of gas or brake applied during the game.
The overall aesthetics of the controller are also nice with the various colors that it lights up and also ability to customize through the GameSir app on your PC or to upgrade future firmwares is very quick and simple through their app on your computer.

T7 Pro! – The GameSir T4 Pro Retro Green is a solid option for those looking for a wired controller experience on Xbox, PC, or both. Right out of the box, it gives strong Xbox 360 vibes without the red ring, of course. It feels well-built overall, though it does carry some third-party tells: the center Xbox button looks noticeably different from OEM, and the lighting has that unmistakable aftermarket energy. That said, I actually love the lighting, my third-party Xbox controllers back in the 360 era had this feature, and it’s a fun throwback.
Feature-wise, it goes beyond a standard Xbox controller. The sticks are advertised as anti-drift, the buttons use a durable membrane, and it includes programmable rear buttons and a hall effect trigger stop, a manual way to adjust press travel on both triggers. It also comes with a braided, 10-foot green USB-C cable that’s removable from the controller. Only time will tell how the components hold up, but first impressions are positive.
The GameSir Nexus app lets you customize controls, calibrate the controller, and push firmware updates, a must-have step, especially for PC users.
Now for what actually matters: gameplay. I play COD and mapped the two rear buttons to control my stance switching between standing, crouching, and prone and it genuinely feels like it gives me a speed edge. The controller feels great in hand and the response is on par with an OEM controller. The only difference? Mine lights up like it’s 2008.
Bottom line: A great buy if you’re tired of swapping out batteries. Two things I wish it had: a wireless option to cut down on desk clutter, and a USB-A to USB-C cable for more flexibility with PC ports.

Nice compatible XBox Controller – This review includes input from my daughter (31 years old). Overall, I really enjoyed using the GameSir T7 Pro Wired Controller. The design was lightweight, and the controller felt comfortable in my hands. I had no issues moving around while using it, and the 10‑foot cable provided plenty of length to sit comfortably on my couch.
The controller included two extra mappable buttons on the back. While this was a cool feature, I found myself accidentally pressing them during gameplay. Since I hadn’t mapped them, it didn’t affect my gaming experience, but I could see it becoming frustrating if they were assigned to in‑game actions.
I also enjoyed the lighting effects while the controller was in use, and I liked that the lights turned off when the controller entered sleep mode. It made it easy to tell when the controller was active.
The triggers were responsive with good resistance, and the buttons felt smooth and easy to use. I didn’t notice any input lag, and gameplay felt smooth overall.
The controller also had an audio jack with a dedicated mute button. I was able to plug in my headset easily, and the sound quality was good. The mute button was a nice added feature.
The controller is compatible with both Xbox and PC, and I expect it will get a lot of use from both of us.
Other note: This controller was tested on an Xbox One while playing Fortnite and browsing the store.

Buy buy buy – Overall, this controller is highly recommended. I received a package a few weeks ago. It arrived un damaged and the way that it was shipped. It would be difficult to damage it in a way that the controller would be altered in any meaningful way. The packaging itself was fantastic and clearly labeled exactly what it was you were working with and didn’t leave any guessing as to if there’s anything left in the box I use this for both Xbox and PC and it truly was a plug and play experience. On the Xbox, You didn’t need to have a controller mapped and it just worked. On PC most games worked out of the box. I had to manually adjust one game so that some of the buttons did exactly what I wanted it to do, but that was more personal preference than any fault of the controller. Lastly, in terms of quality, it appears to be pretty well-made, while it has only been a few weeks. The joysticks are holding their own very well and not drifting in anyway again I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a hardwired solution for a remote.

GameSir Gaming Starter Kit – You, GameSir, have created the perfect entry-level controller for PC Gamers to get started and dip their feet into the world of Hall Effect sticks. With the nostalgic retro green Xbox lighting, you’ll be reminded of the XB1 glory days. Everything feels solid and buttons are responsive. For the price, you cannot beat this offering.
The T7 Pro W is extremely simple and easy to setup. Just remove the controller and long hi quality braided USB cable, plug it in, and you’ll hear it connect to your USB indicating it was recognized. The light in the controllers will turn on, and you know you are good to go. You can adjust brightness and turn the lighting on and off in app. If you want to customize, go to the MS Store and download and get the Gamesir Nexus app to make it truly yours. This works well with Steam and Xbox Game Pass along with PC gaming. There is an extra set of buttons you can program to whatever you like. This controller is simply everything you need at the right price. VERDICT IS… YES, especially for your 1st ever!

Top experience for a corded controller! – The GameSir – T7 Pro Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S|One, Windows, and more offers amazing responsiveness, controllability, and features to make your gaming experience more memorable and productive. It is all about winning, so why not use the best controller to help you achieve this? The wired control bring less lag, more control, and faster response than traditional wireless Xbox controllers. The look and design ensure it is something you will want to pick up again and again. The addition of customizable buttons ensure you can play the way you want to for the best experience.
I found this controller to be a great alternative to the wired controller. It feels good in the hands and I did not experience fatigue after several hours. The additional buttons are well-placed and not in the way should you choose not to use them, but are fairly easy to get used to if you do. I was happy that the USB cable was long, but for my particular Xbox setup, the cord was a burden and about 1 foot shorter than I needed so I had to change things up to sit closer. While I really like this controller, I will be using it as a back up for dead batteries or on my PC as it is less practical than I need with the cord attached.
PROS
– GameSir quality and innovation
– Compatiabilty and flexibility across consols and platforms
– Long USB braided cord will hold up for a long time
– Feels good in the hands
– Customizable features
CONS
– Corded is just not a good fit for me needs, but will work as a backup for a dead battery in a pinch or when gaming via comptuer.

The Gamesir controller is actually pretty tuff! – Thanks to Best Buy, I’ve been able to receive the GameSir Anti-Stick Drift T7 Pro Retro Green Wired Controller. I will say that in the past, I’ve always had an aversion to purchasing third-party controllers because I felt the form was slightly off and the design never really appealed to me. Thankfully, this controller is designed specifically for Xbox and has their stamp of approval, so much so that it also comes with 1 month free of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
That said, the design of the controller itself is actually pretty nice and ergonomically akin to the official Xbox controller. The Retro Green controller is translucent with illuminated joysticks, D-pad, and X, Y, B, A buttons. Something it took me a while to notice was that the lighting intensifies when you interact with each button. I suppose this is cool for streamers or E-sport players, but I did find it impractical if you are focused on defeating your opponent on screen. Nonetheless it does fit in well with a pre-existing RGB PC setup.
The wired controller is a switch from the usual wireless controller that typically comes stock with your Xbox Series X. But this works out well for people who play on PC at a desk setup or choose to play in the living room on the couch. The cord itself is 10′ long and is more than enough cable to get active from a distance without impedance. The left and right triggers feature hair-trigger toggles. This is great if you are looking to speed up your reaction time in a fast-moving 120 FPS game. The game that I had to test was Doom: The Dark Ages. This game is super frenetic, and in order to achieve the level of kills needed to survive, you have to have insane response time.
Speaking of response time, another cool feature is the L4 and R4 buttons, which are located right where your middle finger sits when holding the controller. I never noticed before just how much work goes into comfortably holding a controller while reaching for the left and the right bumper. This is also highly dependent on the size or anatomy of your hand. And truthfully, the GameSir Nexus app featured on Xbox and PC allows you to remap buttons and customize your game to your preference.
What’s also cool is the “M” or mode button located in between the D-pad and the R3 stick allows you to cycle through gamepad profiles. You may find that playing a game like GTA V requires a much different configuration than a game like Cuphead. The beauty is that once you make your profiles in the GameSir Nexus app, you can set it and forget it. No need to go into your game menu and sort through options — allowing you to get straight into the game!
I would definitely recommend this controller, and knowing that they have more features to come in the app and different colors to choose from, I think this is a great option for people sick of batteries and who want a disruption-free gaming experience.
4.75/5

One of my favorites – This controller has been hands down the best one yet! I’m so glad I took the chance and got this. I had done some research and found this controller fit all my needs. This has a great dock with the option of using either Bluetooth or RF.
The RF dongle conveniently is attached to the bottom of the dock which you can then plug into your PC and use RF without taking up and additional USB port.
Firmware is easy to keep up to date and mapping the buttons is very straight forward and intuitive. The user friendly software you can install on your desktop is simple and basic. Not sure on Linux compatibility though. Will test in near future as I do game on Bazzit and a Steamdeck as well.
The controller is very comfortable in the hands no larger or heavier than the standard Xbox controller. I love that I can flip the triggers to short throw and back to full trigger pulls depending on the game.
All in all this is a must have in your controller arsenal if you want something a bit more than the standard controller. The options and customization is great in addition to the wireless PC capabilities.
Some of the cons I’d mention that if you are using this on an Xbox console wired is the only way to use this controller. This goes for streaming and emulation controller pass through. Other than what I stated this thing is a home run!

Great gaming controller with 2 stage triggers – I have used wireless gaming controllers as my primary use but I was getting tired of always replacing batteries constantly or forgetting to charge my controllers. This xbox controller feels really nice in your hands and the buttons depress nicely. I really like the addded benefits that come with this controller. The analog triggers with the two setting triggers is really nice. The feel and texture of the controller is also nice as sometimes my hands sweat and I like that I can keep gripping this and not have it slip around. The rumble motors feel better than the stock controllers. I was surprised by the back buttons on the back of the controller. Using the controller is really nice. The sticks move is really nice and the buttons depress really nice and you can tell when you press a button. Playing with the controller’s two stage triggers works great but you need to practice if you are not used to those types of controllers but once you get the feel you won’t purchase another controller in the future.

Overall, this is a great controller for the price. It works well, looks awesome, and is a good option for anyone who wants something fun and affordable for their Xbox. I would definitely recommend it!

Really Cool Controller – Really fun looking controller with smooth inputs, not loving the app, I set the trigger pulls but when I put the stops on, they dont work. In the app, it shows they are working but in game, nothing happens. Other than that, feels good and I will keep messing with the app.
