Little slow – Only reason I chose 4 stars is it tends to be a little slow / laggy and my kids don’t know how to wait long to enough to have to catch up.

Its ok – It is very slow. With every swipe you have to wait a few seconds. It can be quite irriating. Its nice and compact. Perfect for reading. How ever, we did have an issue with redeeming the free 1 year subscription that comes with it

Great gift for kids who love to read! – Got this for my 10 yr old granddaughter, who is an avid reader. She loves it, and was especially happy with the cool Ocean Explorer cover design

Kindle Perfect – Purchased as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter who loves to read. All her older siblings have this version of a kindle as well and they are used on a regular basis as they are home schooled. With a Kindle account the amount of books available for reading are limitless. Dad leads a family ‘book club’ that keeps them all involved and reading everything from the classics to books that are just fun.

Just okay – Nice idea but does lag quite a bit and have to restart it frequently as it often shows there are no wifi networks to connect to even though none of our other devices have an issue connecting.

Easy on the eyes – I was the kind of kid who stayed up past bedtime, secretly reading under the covers with a flashlight. Now my kids can do the same thing without juggling a flashlight.

Kids Kindle – I’m genuinely impressed with the Kindle for kids. What I love most is that it makes reading feel like something children want to do rather than something they’re being asked to do.
The device is lightweight, easy for little hands to use, and the screen is comfortable for reading. The battery life is also a huge plus, especially when traveling or during busy days when you don’t want to worry about constantly charging another device.
But what really stands out to me is how it encourages children to spend more time reading and less time being distracted by everything else. Having books readily available makes it easy for a child to pick up the Kindle and get lost in a story.
I also appreciate the kid-friendly features and the peace of mind they provide to parents. It feels like a thoughtful product designed not just to entertain children, but to help develop a lifelong love of reading.
For any parent or grandparent looking for a meaningful gift that combines technology with learning, the Kindle for kids is a wonderful choice. It’s one of those gifts that can provide hours of enjoyment while giving a child something truly valuable—the love of books.
