Don’t waste your money – Boring game. Nothing like the original. Repetitive maze game.

Great Multiplayer – A good multiplayer game and the portions of the story mode I’ve played seem fun.

Fun Game – It’s a solid game. This is very similar to the Bomberman games I remember playing as a kid. The only thing I would improve the having the camera angle directly above the map instead of off to the side.

pretty good for what I paid – When I purchased this game, it was in the discount section. Considering this, it’s a pretty good value, though not quite as good gameplaywise as previous incarnations that were on the SNES or N64.

Great classic game! – Love this game, played the originals back on GameCube. Very fun couch party game, with cool modifiers too.

Decent game for a low price – Super Bomberman R is a fun game that can be enjoyed with friends and family.

Playing with or against 8 Players was the biggest highlight for me during Battle Mode. Unlocking characters, stages and hats definitely kept me going to do a 100% run. I was even surprised to learn that each console version has their own exclusive Bomber Characters.

The only takeaways are that the 3-Star difficulty on Story Mode as it can be a little too challenging (especially the Boss fights), the Golden Vic Viper Bomber character was only a pre-order bonus outside of the Switch port and was never unlockable or purchasble, the 8 Bomberman siblings and their Shiny counterparts never have any abilities outside of the unlockable bombers and console exclusive bombers as well. Finally, grinding in-game coins to purchase characters, stages and hats takes forever.

Aside from those issues, I’d recommend this game for get-togethers and one of the few games to have 8-Players with instead of the usual 4-Players.

Fun to play. Similar to to old school NES. I wouldn’t pay more than $20 though.

Nostalgic fun with a modern twist – Super Bomberman R for Nintendo Switch delivers explosive multiplayer mayhem with classic Bomberman charm. The game’s colorful visuals and lively soundtrack add to the excitement of bombing your way through mazes, whether solo or with friends. The diverse range of characters and power-ups keep matches fresh and engaging. However, the single-player campaign can feel repetitive, and online matchmaking occasionally suffers from lag issues. Overall, Super Bomberman R is a blast for parties and quick gaming sessions, offering nostalgic fun with a modern twist.

Fun game – The game is fun and can be played with friends. But it’s a classic so can’t go wrong.
